Trailer Hitch Installation - 2010 Mazda MX-5 Miata - Curt

Today on our 2010 Mazda Miata MX-5, we're going to take a look, then show you how to install the Curt Custom Fit Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver, this has the 1-1/4 inch opening. It's part number is C11028. Here's what the hitch is going to look like once we get it on the Miata. As you can see, it's nice, compact, not a whole lot hanging down, which is good because it's not the tallest car in the world. Now this being a class I, this is going to work out good for your like 2 bike racks, small cargo carriers, and very light duty towing. The hitch itself is rated for a 200-pound ton weight rating, a 2000 pound maximum trailer weight, but of course we want to refer into the owner's manual of the Miata and make sure that those don't exceed it. If it does, go off of whatever those numbers are the lowest. It's a very small modification here on the back. more
